About SalaryAfter
SalaryAfter is a free, easy-to-use salary calculator that helps Americans understand their actual take-home pay after federal, state, and FICA taxes.
Our Mission
Understanding your paycheck shouldn't require a tax professional. We built SalaryAfter to give everyone instant, accurate estimates of their after-tax income, whether you're negotiating a new salary, considering a job in a different state, or simply budgeting for the year ahead.
How It Works
Our calculator uses the latest 2026 federal tax brackets, all 50 state income tax rates (including progressive brackets where applicable), and current FICA rates (Social Security and Medicare). Simply enter your gross salary or hourly rate, select your state and filing status, and get an instant breakdown of your take-home pay.
